Thirty-nine rooms, nine ways to stay in the centre
From the compact newly renovated double to the Suite with a living area. All fifty metres from the Duomo. Each one tells you which floor it is on and whether the lift reaches it: it is the question we are asked most.
It is our smallest double, and also one of the prettiest: walls in bespoke wallpaper, warm lighting and a rebuilt marble bathroom with brass fittings. It is on the fourth floor: the lift reaches reception on the third, then there is one last flight of stairs.

Good to knowThe last floor is on foot, with no porter service. If you are travelling with heavy luggage, tell us in advance: we will suggest a room on the floors served by the lift.
The easiest rooms to reach and the quietest: all on the first floor, served by the lift, well heated in winter and well cooled in summer. They open directly onto the inner courtyard.
If you want space without moving up a category, the Superior is the answer: large rooms, full-wall padded headboards, fabrics chosen one by one and a renovated bathroom. These are the rooms we refurbish first, and it shows.
This is the most basic room in the hotel, and we describe it exactly as it is. It is on the fourth floor: the lift reaches reception on the third, and the last flight is on foot, with no porter service. The bathroom is the original one, with a bathtub: there is no shower and no bidet. The rest is a genuine period room, with terracotta floors and wooden furniture.
It works well for a small family travelling light who want to spend as little as possible while staying inside the historic centre. If you have heavy luggage, or you need a shower, look at the New Triple or the Superior Triple: same three people, refurbished rooms.

Good to knowFourth floor with the last flight on foot and no porter service, bathroom with a bathtub, no shower and no bidet. Not recommended for guests with heavy luggage or who struggle with stairs.
These are the rooms that came out of the works last: walls with murals designed for them, completely new marble bathrooms with shower and bidet. The furnishing is still being completed, which is why they cost less than they are worth. They are on the fourth floor, reached on foot from the last landing.

Good to knowFurnishing still being completed and the last floor on foot: two reasons why the price is lower. We would rather tell you here.
A room that resembles no other in the hotel: themed wallpaper, warm light, real space for three people without climbing over each other. It is the choice of those travelling in three who do not want two separate rooms.
A room designed for four adults or two adults with two children, on the third floor — the same level as reception: reached by lift, with no stairs. It is what we recommend to families who want to stay together in one room, a hundred steps from the Duomo.
A real Junior Suite: double bed, sofa that turns into a bed, living area with a table and a completely rebuilt white marble bathroom. This is what families and longer-staying guests choose.
On the third floor, the Suite is the only one of its kind: a living area with sofa and armchairs, a separate sleeping area with a marbled stone wall, and a marble bathroom. A Florentine setting, without a five-star price.
